About us

Election Watch in Andhra Pradesh is being done by National Election Watch, AP, for the 2009 Lok Sabha and Legislative Assembly Elections.

National Election Watch, AP is partnered and supported in the state by a very large number of NGOs and citizen groups in almost all districts.

Election Watch shall be conducted under the guidance of a Election Watch Committee consisting of eminent and distinguished citizens who are well known for their integrity, non-partisan approach and commitment to civil society.



What do we do?

  • The primary objective of the Election Watch is to disseminate data from the candidates' own affidavits to voters empowering them to make informed choices about the candidates.
  • Election Watch shall collect data from the candidates' affidavits, collate it, convert it to reader-friendly formats and publicise it widely.
  • Election Watch shall also take on some additional tasks and collaborate with like minded initiatives to further fair elections.
  • Election Watch shall be done in a non-partisan and transparent manner.


Election Watch Committee

Election Watch in AP shall be done under the guidance and supervision of a Committee of eminent, distinguished citizens with impeccable reputation. The following have agreed to be on the Election Watch Committee.
